- צְפַרII (b. h. צָפַר, denom. of צִפּוֹר) to circle (v. צְפִירָה); to plait one round. Y.Sabb.VII, 10c top ההן דעבד קופין כד צ׳וכ׳ he who makes baskets: when he finishes one round (on the Sabbath), he is guilty of weaving.
